Biography of Sue Nicholls
Sue Nicholls has been classroom based throughout her career and qualified as a Music Advanced Skills Teacher five years ago. This role has provided her with opportunities to develop her particular passion within music education, that of supporting generalist teachers.
She has published several books for non-specialists and contributed material to many other publications. Sue has been a music consultant for an Early Years BBC programme and is currently delivering INSET nationwide as a freelance consultant.

I have been using some of these songs for years, and it's great to see them in print at last and available to a wider audience. I start most sessions at KS1 and lower KS2 with Hello to you and the kids love it.
Typical of Sue's material it strikes a chord with kids and gets them instantly focused and engaged, ready to work. Song Stack is a very broad collection of songs, the words are exactly right for the age group - they mean something and resonate with youngsters without being patronising. The melodies are perfect for young and developing voices, easy to grasp yet with enough material to pose gentle challenges. Not only are they fantastic fun, and contribute to good singing voices, but the well-structured teaching points for each song will ensure that they are taught well, and contribute to general music learning too. The piano accompaniments are manageable and supportive, and the CD is helpful for non-specialists.
